Return Policy

Chapman-Smith Enterprises Pty Ltd ACN 142 910 781 trading as Discount Party Supplies (“we”, “us” or “our”) treats its business very seriously and customer satisfaction is of the highest importance. Accordingly, we have developed a Returns Policy to ensure that you are fully aware of your rights and our obligations to you with respect to returns.

When will I be entitled to a refund, exchange or credit?

You will be entitled to a refund, exchange or credit where:

  • you are not completely satisfied with your purchase (‘change of mind’);
  • the product is faulty or not fit for the purpose that products of that kind are commonly bought;
  • the product does not match the sample or description advertised on our website; or
  • we are required to do so under any relevant laws.

In the event that you believe that any of the above apply to you and consequently, you believe that you are entitled to a refund, exchange or credit, you must provide us with:

  • your full name and address;
  • the original order number; and
  • the reason for claiming the refund, exchange or credit.

Returning product/s to us

You must notify us by telephoning us on 1300 858 704 or completing our online ‘Contact Us’ form within five days of receiving the product/s if you wish to return the product/s to us. Claims for refunds, exchanges or credits outside this time period will be at our discretion.

Once your return request is approved you must return the product/s within seven days.

We reserve the right to assess the condition of the returned product/s prior to offering a refund, exchange or credit. This may result in a refund, exchange or credit being refused by us.

Condition of returned product/s

In order for us to provide you with a refund, all change of mind returns must be in brand new, unused, unopened and re-saleable condition with all original outer packaging intact.

Return delivery charges

Return delivery charges are your responsibility. We will not be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged return deliveries. We recommend that you return the product/s to us via Registered Post so the item can be tracked and for your own piece of mind.

Returned packages

If for whatever reason you do not take delivery of your items or you have entered your address incorrectly and your order is returned to us you will be entitled to a refund (excluding original delivery charges and/or any return charges we have incurred) or we can resend your order and you will be responsible to pay for the new delivery charges.

Return of "late" packages

You are responsible for ensuring that you allow enough time for your order to arrive given the shipping option you chose. The delivery estimates provided on our site are not guaranteed delivery times and actual delivery times may be affected by circumstances beyond our control. Should your parcel arrive later than your event, you may return the items to us, and our 'change of mind' refund policy applies.

Provision of refunds, exchanges or credits to you

For a 'change of mind' return you will be entitled to a refund, exchange or credit equal to the cost of the products only, excluding original and return delivery charges. You will be responsible to pay for the new delivery charges for 'change of mind' exchanges.

If a product is defective, incorrect, or significantly did not match the description, your refund or credit will include your return delivery charges. Your original delivery charges will only be refunded when your entire order is defective, incorrect, or did not match the description.

Refunds, exchanges and credits will only be made upon the return of the product. All refunds will be issued via the same method used to purchase the items.

Costume Return Policy

We understand when buying costumes online they may not fit as expected.

In the case your costume does not fit, our costume return policy is:

  • Contact must be made within 2 days of receiving the costume to indicate you wish to return the item.
  • Item must not be worn, used or altered in any way.
  • All packaging, accessories and garments in the pack must be returned in new condition.
  • Invoice must be included with return.
  • Return postage is at buyer’s expense via a trackable method and costume must be posted within 5 business days from your return request.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a refund if we deem the costume, packaging or accessories to be in an unsatisfactory condition in any way.
