Delivery Costs

We offer flat rate shipping Australia wide:

  • Regular shipping is $9.95 (or Free on orders over $89)
  • Express shipping is $14.95.
  • NZ Express shipping is $19.95 (up to 3kg*).

Recent flooding in Queensland and parts of NSW will impact delivery times in those states. Please be aware the impact may create a parcel backlog at other delivery centres until Australia Post can deliver into and through flood affected areas.

Due to the impact of Covid-19 throughout Australia, delays in the delivery network may occur. We have adjusted our estimated delivery times to be as accurate as possible, however some parcels may experience longer delays than others. Unfortunately we cannot predict these delays ahead of time so to avoid disappointment, we recommend customers plan ahead and order well in advance of their event date.

You can estimate how long your order will take to arrive with our shipping estimator (Australian postcodes only).
NZ delivery estimates are approx 7- 10 working days (longer for rural areas).

Estimate Shipping Times

Delivery dates or times indicated by us on acceptance of your order are approximate only and do not constitute a guarantee of delivery or delivery by such date. Over 90% of orders will be delivered early or within the estimated time frame, however carrier delays can occur and, therefore, your non-receipt of ordered goods within the estimated delivery time will not be grounds for you to cancel your order or receive an immediate refund. If needed, late parcels can be returned for a refund under our change of mind refund policy.

If requiring your items within a week of ordering we would always recommend you choose Express Post to ensure you have your order in plenty of time.

Same Day Shipping Guarantee

Orders with cleared payment received before 2pm (Adelaide-time) on all South Australian business days will be dispatched the same day.
In rare circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to events like power failures, software malfunctions) shipment of orders may be delayed.
Please keep in mind that, even though we dispatch promptly, delivery dates can be affected by circumstances beyond our control.

Delivery Method

Orders are sent via either Australia Post, TOLL or International Express Merchandise. The carrier and tracking number can be found in the shipment email you receive once the order has been dispatched.

We aim for first time delivery. If you work, have gated access to your property or you live in a unit complex, please consider entering a work or relatives address so the parcel can be delivered without incident. For Australia Post deliveries within Australia, their E-Parcel service may give you the option to request the parcel be left without a signature. If you exercise this option it is at your risk and any parcels showing as delivered will not be replaced or refunded if non-delivery is claimed. You also assume all risk and take into account additional days for delivery for any address changes or redirection of deliveries that you initiate through the Australia Post parcel delivery notification service.

Delivery Areas

Discount Party Supplies delivers Australia wide and to New Zealand. Some over-sized items may not be able to be sent to external territories or remote locations and we will make contact with you should your order contain such items.

Express Delivery Australia

If you require urgent delivery, we recommend you choose the Express Delivery option at the checkout. Please use the "Estimate Shipping Time" calculator above to see if you are eligible for next business day delivery, however please be aware Express Post is not a guaranteed overnight service. When choosing this option, you accept that Express Post is the fastest service we can offer and not a guaranteed next day delivery. If you live outside the network, your order will be delivered as soon as possible.

Some over-sized items cannot be sent via $14.95 Express Post (or can only be sent express in limited quantities) and generally this is noted in the description of the item. If you add such items to your cart the check-out process will not allow you to select Express Post - please contact us on 1300 858 704 (AU Only) if you wish to receive a quote to have your items sent Express. For orders in excess of normal retail quantities or Express orders to external territories we reserve the right to negotiate a revised postage price or, when we have made reasonable attempts to contact you and have been unable to do so, send the parcel using regular mail.

International Shipping

Some countries/states may charge customs charges, import duties, and/or tax on overseas orders. Payment for these charges are the buyer's responsibility. Discount Party Supplies is unable to advise or calculate what these charges might be as they vary by country and/or state. Please check your local duties/taxes before placing your order. Failure to pay any of these charges may result in your order being seized, not delivered in a timely manner or returned and you will not be entitled to a refund should this occur.

*Express shipping to New Zealand starts at $19.95 for orders 3kg and under. Orders exceeding this weight will be charged at $10 for each additional kilogram, up to a maximum of 20kg.

Some items like helium tanks, sparklers, spray cans, or bulky items are not able to be sent internationally. We will contact you should we need to modify your order to remove such items.

Click and Collect Australia Only

We offer a convenient and free click and collect pick up service. We are located in Reynella, South Australia. If you are also located in South Australia, you will be able to choose click and collect during the checkout process. Please place your order online and the necessary details will be given to you in checkout. Click and Collect orders placed Monday - Friday, excluding public holidays, will be ready for collection the same day. Please allow 3 business hours from placing your order for collection. Our business hours are 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday. You will receive a notification email once your order is ready. Click and Collect orders must be collected within 30 days of placing an order. Any orders not collected after 30 days will be refunded.
